Project Essay

The semester is moving along at a rapid pace, and we need to double our efforts on our individual projects. In order to help you focus on producing your project, which will take precedence this marking period, you will start work on an accompanying essay. The essay must be based on your thesis question, which is due today. When you have selected the thesis question, begin doing preliminary research today and tomorrow in class. After you have completed the research worksheets you will develop at guiding thesis statement. A rough draft of you essay will be due on paper Wednesday afternoon. A typed draft must be submitted to me via email by next Friday. There will be a coverage teacher in Thursday and Friday and you must use your time wisely to complete your rough draft.

The essay should be related to your project or the topic of your project. The thesis question should guide your research, which should help you form a thesis statement that your essay will support with facts and ideas. As you develop your essay, you may want to conduct additional research by visiting the library or interviewing people.
