Goal Reflection #2 and Goal Setting #3

Well, today it should be pretty clear that when you set your mind to something, you can achieve it. Before you reflect on last weeks goals and set new ones to move your project forward, consider what President-elect Barack Obama has achieved. It is a historic moment for America.

Think about Obama's path to becoming the next President of the United States. What goals do you think he set for himself? What was the most challenging one and how do you think he met that goal? Leave a comment below.

Your individual project should seem a little easier today, considering what Obama achieved yesterday after years (maybe decades) of hard work. Now you need to reflect on last week's goals and set new goals for yourself. Tomorrow you must present written or physical evidence that you met your most recent goals. Please follow the protocol for goal setting:
  • Go to your project blog and leave a comment on last week's goal setting post reflecting on whether or not you achieved your goals.
  • If you met your goals, please clearly explain how and what evidence you will show me tomorrow.
  • If you did not meet your goals, clearly explain why you did not and what roadblocks impeded your progress. At this point, you must also answer the question "How will failure to meet my own goals affect me in life?"
  • Post a NEW entry on your goals for next Tuesday, November 11th with the title GOALS #3.

I think the goals he set was to never make the same mistakes as the last president. To speak to America, instead of making decisions on his own. I think he will meet these goals as he gets into the House and begins to learn more about presidency.

I think Barack Obama set the goal that he was going to help the people of America. I think Obama's most challenging task out this whole election was still staying strong after his grandmother had pass away.

I think Barrack Obama goals are to alter our government. Also to not follow the same path as Bush. I also think he can take us out this horrible situation by over coming obstacles that come in his way by being president.

Some goals he may have set was probably to change history and be persistent when coming to make a change.

Barack Obama Set The Goal that he was going to change america. I think that he had to prove himself more than any other president because of the color of his skin and also because he was only a senator which made his task at becoming president even harder.

The goals I think President Barack Obama set for himself were:

1. To keep following his dreams.
2. Never give up.
3. He probably set up a plan with goals and followed it the best he could.
4. He had help from friends, and his grandparents supported him.
5. He stuck to his original plan of what he wanted to do.
6. He went to the school of what he wanted to specialize in and worked hard from there.

I AM VERY HAPPY THAT OBAMA WON THE ELECTION BECAUSE THROUGH OUT THE WHOLE PERIOD WHERE HIMSELF AND MCCAIN HAD TO PROVE TO US WHOM THE BETTER PRESIDENT WILL BE I PERSONALLY SEEN CERTAIN GOALS THAT HE HAD TO SET FOR HIMSELF IN ORDER TO GAIN THE ATTENTION OF THE CITIZENS , AND TO MAKE SENSE. AT FIRST WHEN HE STARTED OF HE WAS NOT SO GOOD AT DEBATING BUT AS THE TIME WENT BY AND HE STARTED TO ATTEND AND PARTICIPATE AND MORE DEBATES HE IMPROVED, SO I BELIEVE THE GOALS HE SET FOR HIMSELF TO MAKE THIS HAPPEN HAD TO DO WITH BETTER AND MORE ACCURATE RESEARCH, PRACTICE, DEDICATION, HARDWORK, UNDERSTANDING, CLARITY ETC THE WAY I SEE IT OBAMA REALLY WANTED THIS POSITION BECAUSE HE DOES BELIEVE THAT HE CAN MAKE A CHANGE FOR THE BETTER FOR THE CITIZENS OF THIS NATION.

His goal was to strive for something he wanted and he got it. He has made history by becoming the first black president ever which a major goal accomplished. The most challenging thing about this was probably worrying about the racism that will come along with peoples choices in who they were going to choose to be their president.

The goals that I think Obama sets for himself is to one be prepared for anything that comes or will be coming his way two he needs to have answers for any questions. The most challenging thing is being able to keep promises.

All of Barrack Obama's goals are made for the future looking forward while looking backk at past mistakes to make sure they wont be made again. the goals he made were to support himself and set him up to achieve.

I think one of his goals had to be work before play. By that I mean he probably almost never when out to hang with his friends. he had to stay on target.

The goal that I think that Barack Obama has set is to stand by America no matter what and make good positive descions for the country. The most challenge thing is to not let the people of America down.

I think Obama felt like he wanted to shoot for the stars and did everything in his will power to become what he wanted the presidency.I think the goal he set for his self was through whatever don't quit or let anyone ruin your drive.I think him trying to block out the discrimination was hard because it was much from different places but i think him seeing the good he can do and realize the encouragement from the americans and thats what keep his attention and gave him much drive.
